Dear Valued Brock’s Performance Customer,
My name is Brock Davidson. I own Brock’s Performance, and my wife Rhonda and I are the new owners of BrakeTech USA. I wanted you to hear this from me directly rather than learn it somewhere else.
Jeff Gehrs, who founded BrakeTech and designed every rotor the company builds, has stepped back from day-to-day operations. Jeff is not leaving — he continues with us as Senior Technical Advisor, so the engineering judgment behind these products stays with the products.
The company continues to operate as BRAKETECH USA, LLC — a Brock’s Performance company — and manufacturing remains in the same Reidsville, North Carolina shop. Same rotors, same tolerances, same standards.
What is not changing
- Manufacturing continues at our Reidsville, North Carolina facility
- Part numbers and pricing are unchanged
- info@braketech.com, orders@braketech.com, and (951) 471-3476 remain in service
- Jeff continues with the company as Senior Technical Advisor
What we Manufacture
- AXIS™ floating rotor system — our flagship technology, AMA and FIM legal
- Cobra SS — street and road performance rotors
- AXIS/RR — round-race series rotors for sanctioned competition
- CobraMX — motocross and offroad rotors
- SuperAxe rotors and BigBrake oversized brake kits
- BT-HD — dedicated Harley-Davidson rotors and brake kits
- Caliper Racing Pistons — our proprietary anti-fluid-boil design that converts OE calipers to race spec
- Rotor carriers, bobbins, and mounting hardware
What is changing – the new BrakeTech.com is live
Our rebuilt website is now live at BrakeTech.com, developed to serve retail customers and dealers equally well.
In the interest of being straightforward: the site is not yet complete. We are still loading products, fitments, and technical information, and we will continue adding content as it is finalized. If what you need is not posted yet, call or email us and we will take care of it the same as always.
Phase two of the build takes the catalog to approximately 350 rotor SKUs, which covers the great majority of the fitments our customers ask for.
Why we did this
I have tested BrakeTech rotors against everything else on the market, and nothing else comes close. That is not marketing copy – it is years of Jeff’s work showing up where it counts, under load, where a brake component either holds up or it does not.
It would have been a genuine loss to the industry if one of the best components you can put on a motorcycle had gone away, and Rhonda and I were not willing to let that happen. We sat down with Jeff and reached an amicable agreement. The plan is straightforward: keep building exactly what he built, with the Brock’s Performance organization, marketing, and graphics team behind it so that considerably more riders and shops know it exists.
I am not here to change BrakeTech. I am here to take it to the next level.
If you have questions or need anything from us, please reach out. I welcome your input — you can write to me directly at Brock@BrakeTech.com.
Ride hard.
