Brock’s Performance Powers Another Super Stock Win

The HTP Performance Super Stock final at Virginia Motorsports Park was another win for Brock’s Performance, with the 2025 champion, Tim Cottrell, taking the win equipped with a Brock’s Performance exhaust system and a Sprint Filter Air Filter.

Defending class champion Tim Cottrell opened the 2026 Xtreme Dragbike Association season exactly the way he finished 2025, in the winner’s circle.

Racing in the highly competitive HTP Performance Super Stock class at Virginia Motorsports Park, Cottrell used consistency, speed, and clutch reaction times to defeat newcomer Sawyer Williford in a hard-fought final round battle that showcased just how tight the class has become.

Cottrell came into eliminations as the rider to beat after securing the number one qualifying position aboard his Kawasaki with a blistering 8.757 at 164.01 mph. Not only did the run earn him the top spot on the ladder, it also gave him both low ET and top speed of qualifying.

Making an immediate impression in his class debut was Rougemont, North Carolina racer Sawyer Williford. Riding his Suzuki, Williford qualified second with an impressive 8.858 at 160.29 mph, putting himself directly in the hunt against the defending champion.

The rest of the field was stacked with experienced racers including Mike Chapman, Mike Davis, Rickey Grayson, Jamie Lopes, Caleb Holt, and Jalen Reese, setting up one of the toughest opening-round ladders of the weekend.

Round one saw several standout performances.

Mike Chapman advanced over Jamie Lopes with a 9.020 at 156.06 mph, while Mike Davis put together one of the quickest runs of the opening round with an 8.910 at 159.93 mph to eliminate Rickey Grayson. Williford remained steady and consistent, using a 9.042 at 157.56 mph to move past Caleb Holt.

Cottrell closed out the first round by reminding everyone why the number one plate sits on his motorcycle. He blasted to an 8.890 at 159.66 mph to defeat Jalen Reese and carry momentum into the semifinals.

The semifinal round featured two heavyweight matchups.

Cottrell squared off against Davis and once again delivered under pressure, running 8.908 at 159.34 mph to advance to the final. On the opposite side of the ladder, Williford continued his impressive debut performance by defeating Mike Chapman with a sharp .121 reaction time and an 8.909 at 159.55 mph.

That set the stage for a final-round showdown between the reigning champion and the class newcomer.

At the tree, Williford grabbed the starting line advantage with a stellar .109 reaction time compared to Cottrell’s .162. But Cottrell’s Kawasaki had just enough performance on the top end to overcome the deficit. The defending champion drove around Williford at the stripe with a winning 8.857 at 159.53 mph, while Williford turned in a respectable 8.986 at a class-best 164.43 mph.

The victory gives Tim Cottrell the first HTP Performance Super Stock win of the 2026 season and immediately positions him as the rider everyone will be chasing once again this year.
