Marcus Christiansen, equipped with a cutting-edge BST Carbon Fiber front wheel, dominated the competition with back-to-back victories at the NitrOlympX at Hockenheimring and the Euro Finals at Santa Pod Raceway. These impressive wins have solidified his status as the 2024 FIM-E Super Twin Champion, making him a force to be reckoned with in European drag racing.

The FIA European Finals
Eliminations for FIM-E Super Twin boiled down to a heads-up between four time champion Per Bengtsson and Marcus Christiansen who had earlier secured his fifth straight, when the Belgian pair of Chris van Nimmen and Marc van den Boer had both suffered terminal engine damage on their last qualifying pairing.
Christiansen rumbled to a 6.1415/223.39 in his first round single and, after a long wait, the final between Christiansen and Bengtsson saw the former repeat with a 6.1433/226.67 while the veteran Swede kept things honest with a 6.3240.
FIM-E NitrOlympX
FIM-E Super Twin was a seemingly more straightforward affair, with Marcus Christiansen coming out on top (and continuing the Speedy’s Racing ever-expanding run of victories) over Chris van Nimmen in the final, the former rumbling to a 6.321 and the latter going up in smoke.
However, the earlier rounds delivered some astonishing PBs, not least for van Nimmen who ripped off a 6.656 in the opener (the wheels on the bars deciding they didn’t like this kind of performance and departed somewhere along the piece) and then produced a 6.720 to defeat Per Bengtsson with a substantial holeshot a 6.685 lose out. Bengtsson used the opening round to knock a clear tenth of his personal best with the Beast with a 6.211 at only 202mph suggesting a 6.1 is just around the corner for the Swedish veteran.
